Continued support for purchase of lambs shows concern for pensioners and farmers

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund will propose to the Government to support organised purchases of lambs this year, as an expression of concern for the needs of pensioners, to provide high-quality products under favourable conditions while at the same time helping farmers solve the surpluses in production.

In order to prepare the information to be considered at the next Cabinet session, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović held a meeting today with representatives of institutions, organisations and businessmen who participated in this action in the past years.

The meeting, initiated by the Association of Pensioners of Montenegro based on the expressed interest of its members, was attended by: Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Kemal Purišić, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Investment and Development Fund Zoran Vukčević, Director of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund Duško Perović, President of the Pensioners' Association Branko Vešović and the owners of the meat industries Goranović, Mesopromet and Gradina.
