Slavko Stojanović appointed as Secretary of National Security Council

Podgorica, Montenegro (5 September 2018) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković appointed earlier today former Head of the Police Slavko Stojanović as Secretary of the National Security Council.

Since 1982, Slavko Stojanović has continuously performed the most complex duties in the security system, ranging from police officer to head of the Police Authority.

The Secretary of the National Security Council, in line with Article 11 of the Law on the Basis of the Intelligence and Security Sector of Montenegro, is appointed by the President of the National Security Council.

Veselin Veljović had performed the duty of the Secretary of the Council, before he was appointed as Head of the Police on 30 July 2018.
