Podgorica, Montenegro (6 September 2018) -- Ministry of Economy announced a public call for the lease of state-owned land in the Municipality of Ulcinj in the Briska Gora locality for the construction of a solar power plant  on 19 May.

Following today's Cabinet session, Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić informed the public that the deadline for submitting the bids expired on 3 September and that the bids have been submitted by three consortia: Consortium Fortum and EPCG, IREDL and Montesolar.

"I have to say on behalf of the Ministry of Economy and on behalf of the Commission, which is in charge of evaluating the bids, that we are honoured by the interest showed by these consortia. For the three months we have sold 11 packages of tender documents. Regardless of the fact that we have received only three offers, we have  here 9 different domestic and international companies. I am extremely pleased that such renowned companies have recognised that this project is good, that it is worth investing in and that, regardless of the fact that the subsidies for electricity purchase are not foreseen, it will pay off as soon, Minister Sekulić explained."
