Podgorica, Montenegro ( 19 September 2018) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted the inaugural visit by Ambassador of Hungary to Montenegro Négyesi József.

Welcoming the Ambassador, the Prime Minister said he is hopeful that his mission will be marked by the continued development of high-quality bilateral relations between the two countries,  established during the term of office of former Ambassador Krisztián Pósa.

The Prime Minister thanked Hungary for the continued support for Montenegro in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, emphasising that the accession to the EU is the key priority process and Montenegro will be even more committed to its successful continuation in the future.

Prime Minister of Montenegro and the Ambassador of Hungary note that both countries see the possibility of deepening economic cooperation, primarily in the fields of tourism, energy and agriculture, and especially food production. In that regard, Prime Minister Marković accepted the proposal to begin working on the formulation of a framework of interstate cooperation agreements between Montenegro and Hungary.
