Baku: Bošković with Azerbaijan colleague Colonel General Zakir Hasanov

Bošković expressed gratitude for the invitation to attend 3dr International Defense Exhibition “ADEX 2018” which will take part from 25 to 27 September in Baku, which brings together large number of world exhibitors, leaders in the field of military industry. It is about the unique platform for establishing and enhancing the cooperation in the field of military industry. 

The Defense Minister stressed the Montenegro’s readiness to establish cooperation with Azerbaijan, especially in the plan of military industry, emphasizing that the defense cooperation should follow the overall relations of the two countries, characterized by intensive political dialogue and high level of understanding. Minister pointed out Montenegro’s support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan in accordance with the UN Resolution, expressing the expectation of a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region within the Minsk negotiating process. 

 
Colonel General Zakirov said that the relations of the two countries are based on the friendship and successful economic cooperation. He congratulated Montenegro on achieving the foreign -political priority –membership in NATO, as well as on the progress in the path of European integrations. 

Interlocutors have concluded that cooperation of Montenegro and Azerbaijan is meaningful and qualitative, and the expressed the belief that cooperation will be intensified in the upcoming period also in the field of defense. 

 
Montenegrin delegation met with the representatives of several exhibitors. On that occasion, it is talked about the potential cooperation in the frame of priority activities of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Montenegro in the field of modernization of available capacities of the Armed Forces of Montenegro.
