Sixth Meeting of Special Public Administration Reform Working Group (PAR) to be held on 27 and 28 September

The sixth meeting of the Special Working Group on Public Administration Reform (PAR) formed between the European Commission and Montenegro will be held in Podgorica on 27 and 28 September. The meeting will be opened by the Minister of Public Administration, Suzana Pribilović and head of the Unit for Montenegro in the General Directorate for Enlargement, Thomas Hagleitner.

The subject of the Sixth Meeting will be the discussion of the results achieved in the implementation of public administration reform and planned activities with a focus on the implementation of the process of optimisation of public sector employees, improvement of the civil service system, the issue of exercising the right to free access to information, openness and transparency of data, issues of development and coordination of public policies, and management of public finances, etc.

A special Group for public administration was established in order to improve the existing structure for the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement and the focus of its activities is the reform of the public administration of Montenegro. The work of the Working Group is focused on monitoring progress in areas defined by strategic documents, such as the Public Administration Reform Strategy 2016-2020 and the Public Finance Management Programme and other documents.

After the Sixth Meeting, a press release will be published, and Press Statements will be organised on Friday, September 28 at 9.50 am, about which media will be subsequently informed.
