Prime Minister Duško Marković awarded with "Golden Medal" for contribution to independence of Montenegro

Prime Minister Duško Marković was awarded with the "Golden Medal" for his gratitude for the contribution of the reconstruction of Montenegrin independence and the strengthening and promotion of the identity and culture of Montenegro and with the statue "Il volto della poesia".

In the absence of President Marković, prof. Dr. Jon Deakonescu, President of the European Fund and the International Academy "Mihai Eminescu", gave credit to the Minister of Culture Aleksandar Bogdanović.

 On this occasion, Minister Bogdanović talked with the organizers and participants of the World Festival of Poetry "Eminescu - Njegoš", whose first edition was opened last night in Podgorica. Advisor to the Prime Minister Salko Luboder and academician Sreten Perović attended this meeting.

Advisor to the Prime Minister, Salko Luboder conveyed the greetings of the Prime Minister Marković and thanked this year's participants who "enriched the spiritual space of Montenegro" with their art and poetry.

 Minister Bogdanović pointed out that it was a great honour and pleasure to speak and participate in the opening of the first edition of this important festival. "We are convinced that the first edition will justify expectations with its quality and that the Festival dedicated to the two most important poets of our countries will contribute to the promotion of poetry, and its approach to readers and the general public", said Minister Bogdanović.

Prof. Dr Deakonescu thanked for the support given by the institutions of Montenegro to the Eminescu - Njegoš Festival of Poetry and expressed the belief that this Festival will  be a traditional event that will gather the fans of the written word from around the world.
