Science Minister Damjanović to meet with Austrian Minister of Education, Science and Research

Minister of Science Sanja Damjanović, at the invitation of Minister of Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research Heinz Faßmann, will pay visit to the Republic of Austria on 5 October 2018. The Minister will also visit the MedAustron medical institute, in which proton and carbon cancer therapy is practiced, which will be important for further steps towards the establishment of the South-East Europe International Institute for Sustainable Technologies (SEEIIST).

The meeting in the Federal Ministry of Science, Education and Research of the Republic of Austria is an opportunity to exchange information on scientific cooperation between the two countries and discuss the support of the Republic of Austria during its presidency of the Council of the European Union to the Initiative for the establishment of the SEEIIST.

The meeting will also discuss the establishing of cooperation with COMET, Competence Centers for Excellent Technologies.

The Agreement on scientific cooperation between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Austria was signed on 10 June 2009.
