PM Marković hosts representatives of PPF Group: Mutual interest in cooperation, especially in areas of digital economy and transport

Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted representatives of PPF Group, which recently bought Telenor in Montenegro and in several countries in our region.
During his meeting with Director of Telecommunications in PPF Group Ladislav Bartoníček and Telenor leaders in Montenegro – Chairman of the Board of Directors Mike Michel and General Manager Sandra Štajner, Prime Minister Marković expressed satisfaction with the presence of a renowned group in our market and expressed the Government's full readiness to cooperation in expanding business to other areas of mutual interest.
"We are glad that you are considering expanding business in Montenegro. In this intent, the Government is your partner, not just an address," the Prime Minister said.
PM Marković informed the interlocutors about the results and priorities of economic policy, as well as strategic plans, stressing that Montenegro represents a favourable investment environment that implies a competitive tax policy, that Montenegro became even safer for foreign investments thanks to its NATO membership, and that the Government is improving the conditions for accelerated development by offering the benefits to the investors to expand their business.
Representatives of PPF Group presented to PM Marković the strategic goals of the group that operates throughout Europe and Asia and employs more than 150,000 people. PFF Group earned more than EUR six billion in the past year.
PPF Group announced further improvement of the telecommunications segment in Montenegro with the aim of further expanding the range of services and revenue growth.
It is jointly estimated that Montenegro and PPF Group see opportunities for concrete cooperation, especially in the further process of digitalization and strengthening of the digital economy in our country, as well as in the field of equipping the road infrastructure with electronic means and modernization of railway means of transport.
