Bošković with Ambassador Weber: Federal Republic of Germany continues to support Montenegro in the field of defense

The new appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Montenegro Robert Weber, payed a visit today to the Ministry of Defense, during which he met with the minister MSc Predrag Bošković.
The interlocutors have emphasized the meaningful and qualitative cooperation of two countries in the domain of defense, especially when it comes to the common participation of the Armed Forces in international missions but as well continuous support of the Federal Republic of Germany with significant projects of modernization of Montenegrin defense sector.
Bošković expressed gratitude for six light armored vehicles worth more than two million Euros, donation of the Ministry of Defense of FR of Germany to the Armed Forces of Montenegro. He stressed that Montenegro as the youngest NATO member will continue to actively support the “open door” policy especially when it comes to the countries in the region, aspirants for membership.
Weber, referring to Montenegro's contribution to the collective security system through the active participation of members of the Armed Forces in international missions and operations, stressed that Germany will continue to support our country in the field of defense.
The interlocutors agreed that new security challenges require close cooperation between allied countries.
