Bošković in an official visit to the Republic of Kosovo: Meetings with Berisha, Haradinaj and Thači

Minister of Defence, MSc Predrag Bošković met today in Prishtina with the Minister for the Kosovo Security Force Rrustem Berisha, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj and the President Hashim Thači.
Boškovic and Berisha emphasized that this visit is the foundation of the future improvement of the defense cooperation between Montenegro and Kosovo, but also another significant indicator of readiness, that with joint efforts, to contribute to the continuous development of good neighborly relations as well as the preservation of stability and peace in the entire region.
Bošković said that the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the Western Balkans is key for the stability of the entire South East Europe, which is why Montenegro actively promotes NATO’s “open door“ policy.
He informed the interlocutor with the actual priorities of the Ministry of Defence of Montenegro, as well as the obligations arising from full-fledged membership in NATO.
Berisha expressed gratitude on open support of Montenegro to Euro Atlantic future of the Western Balkans region, pointing out also the great significance of readiness to share the experiences of the Euro Atlantic integration processes with the countries that see their foreign policy perspective in them.
Minister Bošković today in separate meetings met with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and the President of the Republic of Kosovo Hashim Thači. During the meetings at the highest level, were exchanged views on current bilateral, regional and international issues, with particular emphasis on the readiness of the two countries to cooperate in the process of Euro-Atlantic and European integration.
During both meetings, it was emphasized that Montenegro and Kosovo don’t have open issues. It is emphasized the importance of the recent resolution of the issue of demarcation of the border of the two countries, both for the development and fostering of good neighborly relations, as well as for the prosperity of the citizens of both countries.
