PM Marković hosts Đuro Blanuša: Government and Ministry of Sports create optimal framework for better position of youth

"The functioning of the Youth Office in Podgorica, within the framework of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), is one of the more visible results of the Berlin Process, and the Government and the Ministry of Sports are committed to providing support to strengthening the Regional Offcice" Prime Minister Duško Marković noted at the meeting with RYCO Secretary General Đuro Blanuša.

Prime Minister Marković, expressing his satisfaction with the result achieved by the Ministry of Sports regarding this issue, pointed out that the Berlin Process itself represents for Montenegro more than a political and diplomatic initiative, and that the Government considers this process primarily in the context of development opportunities.

"Montenegro is the first country in the Berlin Process that has established a National Youth Office. Therefore, the further support of Montenegro to the activities of the Regional Office will be even stronger, because the Office is a relevant instrument for affirmation of young people in all fields, especially in the field of science and entrepreneurship ", the Prime Minister stressed.

Secretary General Đuro Blanuša, speaking about activities of RYCO, highlighted Montenegro's reputation in youth policies.

Both sides concluded that the policies devoted to young people, created and implemented by the Government of Montenegro and the Ministry of Sports, provided measurable results, and thus adopting European values, which will provide new knowledge, experiences and opportunities to our youth. Around 1,200 partnerships of organisations dealing with youth issues were formed through the possibilities of financing and competition.

Minister of Sports Nikola Janović, Director General of the Youth Directorate Nenad Koprivica and Head of the Local Youth Office Edin Koljenović attended the meeting.
