Request for exemption of Minister of Economy from land lease procedure for Briska Gora Power Plant is flagrant abuse of institution of exemption

Regarding the request for the exemption of Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić, the President of the Tender Commission in the procedure of land lease for the construction of a solar power plant at the site of Briska Gora, the Government considers that this is a flagrant abuse of the institution of exemption.
The request submitted without prior decision on the selection of bidders is rejected not only as unfounded, but also as an inappropriate attempt to pressure the Tender Commission or the Government.
Convinced that this request is followed by the intention of preventing the Government from pursuing economic policy and protecting the national interest, we are determined to prevent the use of private capital power as an instrument of obstruction of the State and its institutions.
