PM Marković wishes happy 150th anniversary of Cetinje National Library: Njegoš belongs to everyone who understands him

Podgorica, Montenegro (21 November 2018) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković wished happy the 150th anniversary of the National Library "Njegoš" in Cetinje.
"The National Library" Njegoš" in Cetinje has been for a century and a half one of the important institutions of the Montenegrin culture. Based on the vision of the Montenegrin ruler and the most prominent personalities of the then Montenegro, the National Library encouraged the ideas based on which societies, museums, reading rooms were established," the Prime Minister's congratulatory letter to Irena Nenadović, Director of the National Library in Cetinje, reads.
"Njegoš belongs to all who understands him. This library, with the power of institutional authority, has remained a centre of cultural influence that has already deserved the respect of all generations for centuries," said Prime Minister Duško Marković in his congratulatory letter.
