Nuhodzic - Farrugia: The desire of Malta is that Montenegro becomes as soon as possible a member of the European Union

During his participation in the European Disaster Risk Reduction Forum, which is being held today in Rome, Interior Minister of Montenegro Mevludin Nuhodzic spoke with the Minister of Interior and National Security of the Republic of Malta, Michael Farrugia.

Minister Farrugia has announced that the Republic of Malta provides full support to Montenegro in the field of emergency situations, especially in terms of the country's accession to the European Union. "Our desire is for Montenegro to become as soon as possible a member of the European Union. We believe that the enlargement of the European Union with the countries of the Western Balkans will be an important factor of stability, "said Minister Farrugia.

He highlighted that the Republic of Malta and Montenegro have good cooperation in almost all areas important for the development of the two countries.

Minister Nuhodzic thanked Malta for supporting our integration processes and stressed the importance of cooperation in the context of the transfer of Malta experience in the negotiation process.

They agreed that in the following period there is room for further strengthening of cooperation between the two sectors of interior, through joint activities and projects of mutual interest.
