"Hanukkah is considered a symbol associated with, among other things, the establishment of religious freedom in the world. Therefore, I am particularly pleased to send the most sincere congratulations on this great Jewish holiday to you and all believers in Montenegro, on behalf of the Government and my own," the Prime Minister's congratulatory message to President of the Jewish Community of Montenegro Đorđe Raičević reads.

The Prime Minister expressed the belief that the customs and values cherished by the Jewish community significantly contribute to the cultural entity of Montenegro, enriching it and strengthening its multinational and multiconfessional dimension.

"Only in the ambience of such a harmony and mutual respect, the State and the society can progress to the level that will be the guarantor of full affirmation of every individual, but also of every social group in which a citizen wants to exercise his or hers own freedoms and ambitions," PM Duško Marković stressed.
