Support for institutions through 3 EU projects worth EUR 2.24 million

Podgorica, Montenegro (3 December 2018) -- The capacity of the Montenegrin institutions for the EU accession process has been significantly strengthened, and coordination within the negotiating structure has been improved through three projects worth a total of EUR 2.24 million, Chief Negotiator Aleksandar Drljević noted at the Open Door Day at the Office for European Integration.
The European Union has funded three projects over the past two years concerning Strengthening the capacity of the Montenegrin administration for the EU accession process and the IPA II instrument, developing the IT Portal for European Affairs and procurement of equipment.
Chief Negotiator Drljević pointed out that through the implementation of the projects, a new portal was prepared that will enable all those who are part of the negotiating structure to monitor the process of harmonisation of Montenegrin legislation with the European one more efficiently and effectively.
