Conference on occasion of International Human Rights Day

The conference on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day and the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights will be held on Monday, 10 December, at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro, starting at 10:00.

The conference will be addressed by Zoran Pažin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Šućko Baković, Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms, H.E. Aivo Orav, EU ambassador to Montenegro, H.E. Ambassador Maryse Daviet, Head of OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Roberta Montevecchi, UN Resident Coordinator and UNHCR Representative to Montenegro.

The conference on the topic of "Protection of human rights and freedoms in Montenegro" within the celebration of the Human Rights Day aims at understanding the level of respect and protection of human rights and freedoms in Montenegro, with an overview of areas identified as challenging and requiring more intensive efforts of all actors in the society in order to reach the highest standards.
