The Ministry of Science awards 17 attractive scholarships for young researchers

The Ministry of Science has approved 17 scholarships for doctoral research this year, for which it has allocated funds in the amount of about EUR 700,000.

Scholarships include a monthly remuneration to researchers in the amount of EUR 700.00, as well as significant funds for research, whose important element is international or intersectoral mobility, in the amount of up to EUR 10,000 per year.

Previously, in May this year, the Ministry of Science announced a public call for applications for scholarships for doctoral research at universities in Montenegro.

By the deadline for submission, 34 applications were submitted, after which the evaluation process ensued.

Based on the results of the evaluation, the Ministry prepared a list of approved scholarships for doctoral research.

The scholarships will be officially awarded at a ceremony to be held at Villa Gorica on 14 December 2018.

The intention of the Ministry of Science is to announce the same call in the next two years as well, with a view to reaching a critical mass of 50 young researchers who would fully devote their working hours to research.
