PMs Marković, Rutte: Montenegro's ambitions in European integration and role in region emphasised

Prime Minister Duško Marković spoke by phone today with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. Prime Minister Marković emphasised that this is a continuation of a good political dialogue following the meeting of the two prime ministers at the EU-WB Summit in Sofia in May.

Prime Minister also conveyed our ambitions and results achieved in the EU integration process, as well as the position and views of Montenegro on the situation in the Region. He thanked the Netherlands for its continuing support on our European path. The two prime ministers agreed that the bilateral relations are excellent, additionally enriched by the investment of Dutch Company Damen and the planned opening of the Embassy of Montenegro in the Netherlands.

Prime Minister Rutte thanked for the exchange of opinion, emphasised the importance of further progress of Montenegro in the process of EU integration and reforms in key areas like the rule of law, and also pointed out the active and positive role Montenegro plays in the Region of the Western Balkans.
