Podgorica, Montenegro (24 December 2018) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated, on behalf of the Government and in his own name, Catholic believers and the high-ranking officials of the Catholic Church in Montenegro on Christmas.
"I want the Christmas days to bring the elevation of human virtues to the level of those values that we all aspire for and to recognise each other in these joyous joys by understanding, respect and forgiveness," the Prime Minister's letter addressed to Archbishop Barski Roko Đonlešaj and Bishop of Kotor Ilija Janjić reads.
Prime Minister Marković stresses in his letter that Montenegro is fully committed to strengthening dialogue on all important issues, including the spiritual issues that will bring a higher level of overall social cohesion.
"Catholic believers and clergy have made a recognisable contribution to this in everyday life. And only through dialogue and consensus will we strengthen our common house Montenegro, which in 2018 has achieved overall progress, full stability and notable economic development," Prime Minister Marković notes in his Christmas message to believers of the Catholic Church and everyone in Montenegro who celebrate Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar.
