Podgorica, Montenegro (27 December 2018) -- The Government of Montenegro passed at today's session the Draft Collective Agreement for the Airports of Montenegro.

The agreement defines workers' rights according to the highest standards and ensures long-term protection of each employee. The collective agreement also protects workers in case of the planned valorisation of the company. The Government authorised Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurkovič to sign the Collective Agreement on behalf of the Government with representative of the Airports' Trade Unions.

The Prime Minister pointed out that more needs to be done to improve the standards of employees in Montenegro, stating that the Collective Agreement for the Airports is an adequate example of such an approach.

However, better standards of employees has to be an obligation not only in state-owned companies but in the private sector as well, which should divert some of the profits, largely generated due to the Government's reform policies, to their employees.
