Kolašin, Montenegro (5 February 2019) -- Owner of the "Lipovo" water factory, who was obviously a bad host - he stopped production, did not pay salaries and contributions to workers, and fled. Prior to the introduction of bankruptcy, the property transfer agreement enabled everything that was worth to be transferred to the Atlas Bank. The Government must initiate legal actions and return that equipment to the bankruptcy estate in order to fulfill the obligations towards the creditors, who are, primarily, workers and the State. After that, we will seek further solutions, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović during his visit to the Lipovo factory.

Answering the journalists' question why, after so many years of problems, the Government's officials are visiting Duško Knežević's factory at this moment, DPM Simović noted: "There were no calls to visit this factory. Until recently, this factory has had an owner, who obviously proved to be a very bad host. The production was stopped almost 3 years ago, we see that the equipment has not been not maintained at all. I was told that he had not not paid salaries and contributions to workers. Therefore, we can come to a conclusion that the host, the owner of this factory, has fled and left workers and the State with debts."

He pointed out that they will consider the way in which the bankruptcy procedure is going to be established in a fast and efficient way, in the best interest of creditors, all workers and the State.
