Government supports independence of institutions, authorities must work without pressure

On the occasion of the Atlas Group owner's address to Prime Minister Duško Marković, we would like to point out that Montenegro is a legal state with a clear division of competencies between authorities and institutions.

Therefore, the Government does not arbitrate on competences but strongly supports the independence of institutions and autonomy in their work.

The Prosecutor's Office, the courts, the financial system regulator and law enforcement authorities should and must work without the influence and pressure exerted by you in an unsuitable and unacceptable campaign of your company, particular media and political parties.

The Government remains committed to respecting laws, strengthening institutions, preserving financial and economic stability, and securing the development of the country.
