Mr. Thomas A. Dine
President
Radio Free Europe /Radio Liberty
Dear Mr. Dine,
I would like to cordially greet the participants and guests at the Annual Conference of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and yourself, wishing you every success in your work and further professional advancement.
During a difficult period, when we stood up to dictatorship that threatened to cause conflicts in Montenegro, too, Free Europe through its mission of objective and prompt information once again strongly affirmed the idea of democracy and human freedoms contained in its name.
It gives me great pleasure that today, when this time is long behind us, Budva has been chosen as the venue for your Conference and discussion on further ways towards building success through partnership. This is a great tribute and an opportunity for affirmation of Montenegro. The more so as the holding of this Conference marks ten years since Radio Free Europe started broadcasting in South Slavonic languages and in Albanian.
On this occasion I send you my warmest congratulations and best wishes for your continuing professional successes.
Milo Djukanović
