"About a year ago, I said here in Bijelo Polje that the Government will provide funds for the construction of the new elementary and music school. Two weeks ago, we signed the construction contract, and here today we are marking the beginning of the construction works," said the Prime Minister.
He added that he expressed satisfaction with the fact that this school building will be one of the largest and most beautiful in Montenegro and will provide the best conditions and the highest standards for more than 1,200 pupils, but also for teachers and other school staff.
"Students from Bijelo Polje and this region will have a magnificent school building in 26 months. Unlike those who criticise us, do nothing or do not understand what we do - we already see the effects of serious economic growth in Montenegro and accelerated intensive development. Over the past two years, we have created 12,000 jobs, and when it comes to education and education system, we have reconstructed over 150 school buildings," the Prime Minister noted.
Prime Minister Duško Marković told the press said that this events marks the beginning of spending EUR 60 million of the Capital Budget in 2019.
"The greatest amount of the funds, 80%, is intended for the projects in the North. This means that we invest in Montenegro on its entire territory and create conditions for a better life of citizens, especially those living in northern region," Prime Minister Duško Marković concluded.
