Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met in Milocer with UNDP Representative in Serbia and Montenegro Francis ODonnell

Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic received today in Milocer UNDP Resident Representative in Serbia and Montenegro Francis ODonnell.

Prime Minister Djukanovic stressed the importance of the UNs initiative to support the reform process in Montenegro though its Development Program. The Conference on Sustainable Development of Montenegro, recently held in New York, was said to be a strong incentive in that respect.

Prime Minister Djukanovic and Minister ODonnell recognized the importance of the fact that Montenegro was one of the first countries to be included into the new initiative of the UNDP: Unleashing Entrepreneurship.

Speaking highly of the achieved level of cooperation between Montenegro and UNDP, Prime Minister Djukanovic and Mr ODonnell expressed their conviction that successful cooperation would continue through other projects within the United Nations Development Assistance Framework from 2005 to 2009.

In addition, the two officials emphasized the importance of the recent visit from Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Special Advisor to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan on the Millennium Development Goals, which was organized in cooperation with the UNDP.
