PM Marković to pay official visit to Austria on Tuesday

Prime Minister Duško Marković will pay on Tuesday, 9 April 2019, an official visit to the Republic of Austria at the invitation of Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.

The first official visit of the Prime Minister of Montenegro to Austria since our country restored its independence will be an opportunity for launching initiatives for further improvement of bilateral cooperation and defining concrete joint activities and projects whose implementation could be expected in the upcoming period.

The visit will serve to further strengthen traditionally good relations with Austria as one of the most important foreign policy partners of Montenegro, especially when it comes to the process of negotiations with the European Union. At the same time, it will be an opportunity, through the affirmation of Montenegro's progress towards European integration and immediately after the end of the Austrian presidency of the Council of the EU, to expresses the gratitude to Austria for its support in all phases and areas of integration process, especially on the efforts to open Chapter 27, Environment.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR MEDIA:

Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro will provide the media with photographs and video recordings of the official reception, meeting and joint press conference of the Prime Minister of Montenegro and the Federal Chancellor of Austria.
