The 2019 MSCA (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) call for Individual Fellowships announced

On 11 April 2019, the European Commission announced the 2019 MSCA call for Individual Fellowships, as part of Horizon 2020. A record budget of EUR 296.5 million has been provided to support experienced researchers of any nationality, in any field of research. The call is open by 11 September 2019 at 17:00.

This call is open to researchers who have a doctoral degree or at least four years’ full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline. The candidates have the choice to apply for a European or Global Fellowship, depending on whether they are moving within the EU or associated countries or outside Europe. Within this strand, two panels are particularly attractive for scientists who want to pick-up their research career after a break (Career Restart Panel) or who had worked outside Europe for a while and would like to return (Reintegration Panel).

As in previous years, an additional number of fellowships will be available for those who do not enter the funding quota, if mobility takes place in one of the so-called Widening countries. These are Widening Fellowships, which do not have the MSCA status, but follow the same application procedure as the MSCA.

To complete the application, the researchers are obliged to find an academic mentor who will guide them through the research, as well as the host institution at which they will conduct research and implement mobility. Searching for institutions that are willing to accept the MSCA IF fellows can be done through the EURAXESS portal, available here.

For further information, please visit the Funding and Tenders Portal, as well as the official MSCA website, or contact the national contact person for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Mr. Filip Petrović, at the following e-mail address: fpetrovic@ucg.ac.me.

A detailed guide for applicants to MSCA IF is available here.
