PM Marković meets with management of Orascom Development: Tourism is in its stride, projects such as Luštica Bay make significant contribution

Podgorica, Montenegro (22 April 2019) -- Montenegro’s tourism is in its stride, every day we have more and more tourists, investors and projects such as the Luštica Bay make significant contribution to the good results we have achieved, Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković and the representatives of the Orascom Development, led by Executive Director Khaled Bichara, emphasised at today's meeting in Podgorica. 

"Tourism is showing expansion. We had an excellent winter season and we can say that the summer season has started earlier. According to the newest data, there is 29% more guests currently staying in Montenegro compared to the same period last year," Prime Minister Marković pointed out.

He expressed satisfaction with the resort development and the dynamics of the construction works, noting that the Luštica Bay and other major resorts on the coast give a new quality to Montenegro's tourist offer. Mr Bichara thanked Prime Minister Marković for the continuous Government's support, emphasising that without this support the project could not have developed successfully.

"We could not do anything without you neither tourism can be successful without investors such as the Orascom Development," Mr Bichara stated.

The meeting discussed issues important for the acceleration of the construction works at the Luštica Bay seaside resort, owned by the Orascom Development.
