ResInfra@DR information session on research infrastructures in the Danube macro-region held
On Wednesday, 17 April, ResInfra@DR information session on research infrastructures in the Danube macro-region was held in Hilton Podgorica. The project is financed through INTERREG Danube Transnational Programme and is supported by the European Union (ERDF, IPA) and co-financed by project partners, with a focus on improving the strategic framework for cooperation in the context of research infrastructures in the Danube region.
The event was chaired by Felix Gajdusek, a representative of the Austrian Centre for Social Innovation (Zentrum für Soziale Innovation) and the coordinator of ResInfra@DR project, who presented the project and indicated the possibilities of cooperation with Montenegrin scientific research institutions, and Dr. Darko Petrušić, Director General of the Directorate for Scientific Research Activities of the Ministry of Science, who reflected on the current state of play in the field of research infrastructure in Montenegro and the challenges encountered by the Montenegrin scientific research community.
Ms. Marijeta Barjaktarović Lanzardi, Head of the Section for Innovation and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Science, presented the National Roadmap for Research Infrastructure (2015-2020), as well as the current process of mapping research infrastructure that is implemented with the expert support and stakeholder consultations, the results of which will be integrated into Roadmap revision for the period of 2019-2020.
The event brought together representatives of Montenegrin research institutions, who had the opportunity to jointly discuss the necessary future activities aimed at strengthening cooperation in this area, as well as the involvement of relevant national and regional actors who could contribute to strengthening cooperation in this area.
