Podgorica, Montenegro (9 May 2019) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated the Association of Fighters of the People's Liberation War and Anti-Fascists (SUBNOR) on the Day of Victory over Fascism, saying that it is our duty to preserve the heritage for which millions of people gave their lives, including our ancestors.

"For eight decades now, we have celebrated the victory of freedom and civilisation values that eliminated the evil and destruction that destroyed the achievements of the humankind. In the growing challenges all over the world, it is our duty to preserve the heritage for which millions of people give their lives, including our ancestors. Their sacrifice after the first nationwide uprising in the enslaved Europe established our right to autonomously decide on our future on our path to developed Europe and the world. Convinced that we will continue to jointly build Montenegro as a safe and developed home for all its citizens, in my own name and on behalf of the Government, I wish happy the Day of Victory over Fascism," the Prime Minister's congratulatory letter to the SUBNOR reads.
