PM Marković: Montenegro enjoys undoubted support of Bundestag and President Schäuble

At the end of a two-day working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, Prime Minister Duško Marković assessed today's meeting with President of the Bundestag Wolfgang Schäuble as remarkable.

"It was a remarkable discussion about the cooperation between Montenegro and the Bundestag, primarily in terms of European integration and Bundestag's better understanding of Montenegro's activities, the progress it makes and the challenges it has. We undoubtedly have the support and understanding of both the President and the Bundestag," PM Marković stressed.

Summing up the meeting at the Bundestag Committee on European Union Affairs, where he presented Montenegro's progress, the challenges we have and our overall development vision, the Prime Minister stressed: "There was great interest, a large number of questions, the dialogue between me and German parliamentarians lasted for an hour and a half. We received recognition, we received some warnings on how to improve and make more effective things in our policies".

The Prime Minister concluded that the meetings were very successful and added: "I come with a new, significant encouragement for Montenegro and its administration, not only regarding its path to European integration, but also regarding strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries."
