Press release: Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic meets Macedonian Ambassador to Serbia-Montenegro Viktor Dimovski

Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met today in Podgorica Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to the State Union Viktor Dimovski, who is making an official visit to Montenegro.
The Prime Minister and Ambassador Dimovski expressed their satisfaction with the development of traditional friendship between the two states and the readiness to promote bilateral cooperation in different fields, with the emphasis being placed on economic and cultural aspects of cooperation.

It was found that excellent relations between Montenegro and Macedonia constituted the best contribution to the stability of the region and realization of development goals.
Prime Minister Djukanovic acquainted his guest with the current political and economic situation in Montenegro and the results the Government and other state bodies had achieved by conducting administrative, economic and educational reforms. He also informed the Ambassador of the current developments in the State Union, problems in its operation and his vision of future relations between the member states.

Ambassador Dimovski informed the Prime Minister of the trends in the Republic of Macedonia and the Governments efforts to resolve the issues of development and European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
The existence of a high degree of consensus on major issues of regional cooperation and mutual interest to intensify bilateral and multilateral activities in that direction is said to be of extreme importance to both parties as well as to the process of their association with modern international development trends.
