Foro di Roma: Montenegrin and regional police make significant contribution to suppression of international organised crime

Rome, Italy (17 May 2019) -- Head of the Montenegrin Police Veselin Veljović took part in the Balkan Region Police Chiefs Conference, Foro di Roma, which took place in Rome on 17 May, under the auspices of the National Police of Italy
The Balkan region police chiefs discussed the strengthening of strategic and operational cooperation in the fight against international crime, and joint activities in the field of the European project ATENA, which should contribute to more efficient information exchange of importance to combat contemporary security risks and threats including terrorism, organised crime with the emphasis on drug smuggling, illegal migration and the activities of foreign fighters.
