Podgorica, Montenegro (6 June 2019) -- Cash deficit of the 2018 budget is EUR 168.9 million and makes 3.65% of GDP, EUR 67.96 million less than in 2017 or 28.7%. If budget expenditures are reduced for expenditures for development projects, it means that a cash surplus of EUR 152.83 million or 3.3% of GDP is achieved, indicating that current expenditures are financed from current revenues, thus fulfilling one of the main objectives defined by the Fiscal Strategy. The surplus of the current budget for 2018 is higher by 198.21% compared to last year, or nominally by 101.81 mil. €, said General Director of the State Treasury Directorate at the Ministry of Finance Dragan Darmanović.
