Press release: Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic meets Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Evripides Stylianidis

Today in Belgrade, Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Evripides Stylianidis, who is taking part in Serbia-Montenegros Investment Summit.

Prime Minister Djukanovic acquainted the Deputy Foreign Minister with the political and economic developments in Montenegro, the reforms process and the level of macroeconomic stability achieved, which brought substantial increase in foreign direct investment.

The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the top-level dialogue with Greece, confirmed by the recent meeting with Prime Minister Karamanlis, and invited Greek partners to intensify their participation in the process of privatization and direct investment in Montenegro which was the main topic of todays investment forum.

Deputy Minister Stylianidis stressed that the Greek Government was very interested in developing economic relations with Montenegro and that the funds for such purpose had been earmarked under the plan for economic reconstruction of the Balkans. In view of this, he announced that the implementation of a major healthcare project might soon begin.

Prime Minister Djukanovic informed his guest of the relations within the State Union, emphasizing Montenegros unreserved commitment to restore its full independence through a democratic, fair and transparent process, in full conformity with applicable international standards.
