More than 750 students and teachers from Montenegro, through Erasmus + programs have been so far at foreign universities, which is a great success for our country, announced on the panel "Be a Part of Success Stories - Use EU Programs".
The General Secretariat of the Government, within the EU4ME project financed by the European Union, implemented by UNDP, in cooperation with the national Erasmus + Office, organized a panel where interested students had the opportunity to hear useful information from Erasmus users and representatives of relevant institutions.
Since the beginning of the Erasmus + program, a large number of young people from Montenegro have studied at foreign universities, both through the Erasmus + program and joint master and doctoral programs, as well as through projects of international credit mobility. So far, over 755 people have used this program through international credit mobility projects.
"Erasmus is now a recognizable brand in the EU, but also at the world level. This program is not just studying and passing exams, but much more, it affects the personal and professional development of an individual, gives students the opportunity to learn about new cultures and traditions, "said the head of the national Erasmus + office, Vanja Drljević.
She pointed out that Montenegro represents a successful and good example of using Erasmus, with 227 mobility agreements with more than 20 EU countries, which is a very good result for the small system.
Deputy Head of Cooperation Office in the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Audrone Urbonaviciute, told students that investing in education, training and research is the best investment in the future of Europe. She reminded that in the period 2014-2020, Erasmus + will allow more than 4 million people to study, train, work or volunteer abroad, and this experience will improve their skills and provide employment prospects.
"You, the young generation, are in the focus of the EU's work. When we are thinking about the reforms, development opportunities and challenges your countries face, we think about you - young people. And you are already shaping the future of not only your countries, but also the future of our partnership, "Urbonaviciute said.
Their experiences were presented by the users of the Erasmus program from the University of Montenegro, the University of the Mediterranean and the University of Donja Gorica - Anđela Mićanović (UCG), Lazar Pavićević (UDG), Luka Račić (UDG), Ines Odalović (UNIM), Dragan Čabarkapa (UCG) Tara Lipovina (UCG) and Denis Tahirovic (UCG).
