Press Release: Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic meets USAIDs newly appointed Officer-in-Charge in Montenegro Joe Taggart

Today in Podgorica, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met with the newly appointed USAID Officer in Charge in Montenegro, Joe Taggart.

Prime Minister Djukanovic expressed satisfaction with the level of cooperation with the USAID and thanked the US Government for the substantial aid provided over the years, helping the economic and overall development of Montenegro. Both parties expressed the conviction that the support and assistance in various fields, above all in power industry, water supply, environmental protection, security sector and public administration, would be continued.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the USAID could still count on all the necessary support from the Government and other authorities in conducting its activities in Montenegro. He also gave credit and expressed gratitude to the former Officer in Charge Howard Handler for his personal efforts in the establishment of fruitful cooperation with the Government and state authorities in Montenegro.
