Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met today in Podgorica with Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) Francesco Frangialli, who is making a working visit to Montenegro.
The meeting expressed satisfaction with upward trends in the development of tourism in the region and emphasized the sectors permanent importance as a factor of interaction between regional economies. Montenegros increasingly recognizable image of a fast growing tourist destination in this part of Europe and Mediterranean was found to be encouraging. Particular emphasis was placed on Montenegros partnership with the World Tourism Organization and the necessity of its continual promotion, adding that the World Tourism Organization would provide all the required assistance based on years of accumulated experience in monitoring the development of tourism throughout the world.
