Nuhodžić- Plugchieva-Alexandrova: Bulgaria supporting Montenegro’s road to integration through exchange of experiences and strengthening cooperation on the security plan

Bulgaria will continue to provide strong support to Montenegro on the path of European integration, and a particular commitment to exchange experiences from the accession process further strengthens the relations of two friendly countries, was announced from the first meeting of the Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić and the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Montenegro, Meglena Plugchieva - Alexanderova.
Thanks to the support provided by Bulgaria to Montenegro on its path to NATO integration, Minister Nuhodzic assessed that Bulgaria's experience in continuing our path to the European Union is important and encouraging for further progress towards meeting the strategic goals of our country.
The meeting was an opportunity for the Minister Nuhodzic to brief the ambassador on the activities of the Ministry of the Interior, especially in the part of the responsibilities of the Negotiating Chapter 24, and the interlocutors also spoke about the cooperation between the two polices and interior ministries.
It was jointly assessed that the quality of the relations so far was high, through projects and initiatives on the regional level, as well as in the area of bilateral cooperation between the police and the emergency management sector.
Ambassador Plugchieva-Alexandrova expressed her readiness to further enhance cooperation in the area of security and civil protection through new activities and expressed the belief that the basis of cooperation set in the previous period would be a good basis for continuing and improving relations between the two countries.
