Press release: Djukanovic meets Ferrill

Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met today with the newly appointed Principal Officer of the United States Consulate in Podgorica Arlene Ferrill and outgoing Principal Officer Hoyt Brian Yee.
Prime Minister Djukanovic welcomed the newly appointed consul, Ms Ferrill and thanked Mr. Yee for the successful cooperation and support the USA continually provided to Montenegros democratic and economic development.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the continual development of strategic partnership between Montenegro and the USA, which was confirmed by the results of numerous cooperation programs and projects implemented in various fields of Montenegros reforms and economic development. In that context, Prime Minister Djukanovic reiterated the Governments commitment, and the importance it attached, to the advancement towards the European Union and Euro-Atlantic structures and emphasized that a democratic resolution of Montenegros statehood status next spring would be an important contribution in that respect.
Both parties expressed the confidence that successful cooperation would be continued and developed.
