Podgorica, Montenegro (1 JUly 2019) --Earlier today, Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković laid a foundation stone for a kindergarten in Rožaje, for which the Government has allocated EUR 1.5 million.

He emphasised that this investment fits into the overall Government's policy concerning education and school infrastructure and stated: “The Government provided EUR 35 million for the construction of the new kindergartens in Montenegro, and this year we will start building four new kindergartens. So, this is the largest amount of money ever invested in the construction of kindergartens, which coincides with the policy of the Government and the line ministry in order to include more children in pre-school education and thus create an educational base for their further education through primary, secondary education and high education. Education is something that Montenegro needs. High-quality education is something that the Ministry and the Government aim to achieve, and building of necessary school infrastructure is a key to that success."

In the kindergarten area of 1.120 m², there will be places for 100 youngsters.

The former kindergarten buildings, which were about seven decades old, have been destroyed and instead of them a modern construction will be build that will have nine rooms intended for the daily needs for children.

The deadline for the completion of the works, performed by Rožaje-based company "Tofi", is 12 months.
