Contract on technical documentation development and construction of cable car in Hajla mountain signed

Podgorica, Montenegro (2 July 2019) -- Directorate of Public Works and Sarajevo – based company "Strucon" signed yesterday contracts on conceptual design development, main project development and the construction of a 6 –seater detachable cable car in Hajla mountain, Municipality of Rožaje. The development of ski trails conceptual design was also contracted.
Contracted value of the technical documentation development and works is about EUR 9 million the Government of Montenegro will provide through the Capital Budget.
The Sarajevo – based company committed itself to developing the conceptual design of the cable car within two months from the date of signing the contract and to draft the main project for this segment of the contract within four months from its acceptance.
Based on the accepted project documentation, construction of the 6-seater detachable cable car will be completed within 18 months from the date of introduction of contractors to work.
The agreed deadline for the preliminary design of the ski trails is two months from the date of signing the contract.
Hajla mountain peaks have been recognised as an attractive tourist destination, which valorisation will make Rožaje a new centre of winter tourism.
For several months now, the Directorate of Public Works has been performing the demanding work of building an access road from Rožaje to Štedim, at which a 7.2 km-long base station will be located.
