Minister Nuhodžić: Developing the Police Directorate for greater trust of citizens

Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić chaired today the session of the Coordination Body for the implementation and monitoring of the set strategic goals from the Police Directorate Development Strategy.
Stating that priorities in the work of the Ministry of Interior and the Police Directorate are to fight crime, border security, raising the level of integrity of police officers, gender equality, improving the police education and training system, as well as bringing the police closer to citizens, Nuhodžić announced that an important step in the path is timely and high-quality implementation of the measures from the Action Plan for the implementation of the Police Directorate Development Strategy 2016-2020.
"Through strategic consideration of security challenges and good planning we will distribute in a better way organizational, human and material resources, which will influence more efficient detection and solving of crimes, better traffic safety, safe and secure border, as well as improvement of the services we provide to citizens" , the Minister said.
Minister Nuhodžić and Director of the Police Directorate Veselin Veljović concluded that in the following period activities should be intensified in achieving the goals defined in the Police Directorate Development Strategy, which will contribute to the strengthening of the rule of law and greater trust of the citizens in the work of the Police.
