Government's delegation, headed by Prime Minister Marković, to take part in Western Balkans Summit in Poznan

Delegation of the Government of Montenegro, headed by Prime Minister Duško Marković, will take part in the Western Balkans Summit, taking place on 3 - 5 July 2019 in Poznan, Poland.
Prime Minister Marković will travel to Poznan on Thursday afternoon, at the invitation of the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, to take part on Friday, 5 July in the Summit of the Heads of State of Government of the Western Balkan countries within the framework of the Berlin Process.
Foreign and interior ministers, Srđan Darmanović and Mevludin Nuhodžić, as well as State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy Milan Srzentić, will take part in three separate meetings of economy, foreign and interior ministers on 4 July. Minister of Science Sanja Damjanović is also a member of the delegation to visit Poznan.
The meeting in Poznan will bring together the prime ministers of the six countries of the Western Balkans. Heads of the EU governments participating in the Berlin Process are also invited to take part. The EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, representatives of international financial institutions, the Regional Cooperation Council and the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation will take part in the plenary session.
This year's sixth Summit of the Western Balkans within the Berlin Process will be focusing on economic issues, the linking agenda and the results achieved in the implementation of the Multi-Annual Action Plan for the creation of a regional economic space, as well as for the cooperation of the civil sector and entrepreneurs. In parallel, it will discuss progress in meeting commitments after the London Summit.
Participation of the delegation of Montenegro will be a good opportunity to promote Montenegro's achievements from the last year's Summit and to consider the progress made in the Western Balkans through this framework of regional cooperation.
Signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation on the establishment of the International Institute for Sustainable Technologies in South East Europe (SEEIIST) will be of special significance for the participation of the Montenegrin delegation, as it is an initiative launched by Montenegro.
