Delegation of Montenegrin Ministry of Economy participates in Berlin Process Summit in Poznan

State Secretary at the Ministry of the Economy Milan Srzentić and Director-General of the Directorate for Investments, SME Development and Management of the EU Funds Radosav Babić participated yesterday in the Berlin Process Summit in Poznan.
The ministerial meeting discussed the key conditions to boost and maintain economic growth and develop entrepreneurship with the key focus on the exchange of experiences and lessons learned during the implementation of the reform programs in the Western Balkans, as well as during the Berlin Process in order to tackle existing challenges, create conditions for facilitating access to the finances for the beginners in business, existing entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises.
State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy Milan Srzentić presented Montenegro’s activities in order to boost regional cooperation and the fulfillment of goals within the Multi-Annual Action Plan for Regional Economic Area (MAP REA).
Launching of the Digital Agenda for the Western Balkans and the Digital Summit organisation represent the most visible result of the regional integration with the potential transformation of the Western Balkans into one of the global digital hubs based on smart specialisation and its integration at the local level. The aim of this agenda is to support the transition of the region in the digital economy and achieve the digital transformation benefits, such as faster economic growth, more employees and better services.
By signing the Agreement on the abolition of roaming charges for a period of two years, alongside the agreements on mutual respect, Western Balkan partners have shown a clear commitment to these goals.
Director-General of the Directorate for Investments, SME Development and Management of the EU Funds Radosav Babić participated in the OECD Conference and the Panel - promoting new approaches in order to discover new growth opportunities.
The OECD Conference promoted and presented publication "Global South East Europe: Unleashing the Transformation Potential for Growth". The publication provides overall view of the export potentials in order to promote economic growth and development of one country.
The Conference also discussed the main results of the study and possible future challenges for the decision-makers and the policy-makers in the region but also for the foreign investors.
