Press release: Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic congratulates Angela Markel on her appointment as new German Chancellor

Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic has sent a congratulatory letter to the newly appointed Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Angela Merkel. The letter reads:

"On behalf of the Government of Montenegro and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations on your appointment as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and wish you every success in performing this high office.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the programs and projects institutions of the Federal Republic of Germany have implemented in Montenegro, thus promoting its development and integration into European and Euro-Atlantic strictures.

Furthermore, I would like to express my satisfaction with the general development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Montenegro and the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as the readiness for their further strengthening to be benefit of our states and peoples.
