Government welcomes police activities and results on protecting journalists, media outlets

Government of Montenegro welcomes the activities and results of the police on the protection of journalists and media outlets.

The Montenegrin police identified perpetrators of each of the four attacks on journalists that occurred in 2018. One threat sent through social networks in 2019 was cleared up on the same day, and the perpetrator was brought to justice.

The Government will continue to support media freedom and provide a safe and stimulating environment for their work.
