PM Marković hosts farewell visit by Ambassador Močnik: Montenegro and Slovenia establish excellent bilateral relations

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 July 2019) -- Montenegro and Slovenia have established excellent bilateral relations and constructive political dialogue at the highest level. It was noted at the meeting of Prime Minister Duško Marković and Ambassador of Slovenia to Montenegro Mitja Močnik. 

"Our two countries have developed excellent economic cooperation. Over 150 Slovenia – based companies are present in Montenegro in all sectors. Such a level of economic cooperation is a confirmation of our partnership," Prime Minister Marković told Ambassador Močnik.

Ambassador Močnik praised Montenegro’s progress and highlighted the significance of the EU enlargement policy. He stressed that Slovenia is firmly committed to the open door policy and will continue to support Montenegro on its path to the EU. The two officials agreed that the European perspective of the Balkan is very important for the stability and prosperity of the region.
  
The Prime Minister emphasised that Montenegro is committed to fulfilling the obligations from the European agenda and implementing comprehensive reforms in order to achieve full state readiness for full-fledged EU membership.
